The Physician will operate within established WTH/WTMG policies and procedures, applicable Medical Staff Bylaws, and any applicable departmental or clinic policies and procedures in the delivery of services to patients both in the office and hospital settings in order to maintain efficient, compassionate and safe care of patients. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Physician shall efficiently treat all patients of the Clinic in accordance with the recognized standard of acceptable professional practice in his/her specialty of medicine.
- Physician shall practice medicine within the professional ethics, licensure of the Physician and the Physician's reasonable capacity to do so.
- Physician shall timely create, maintain, and keep complete and accurate medical records on all patients treated by Physician.
- Physician shall engage and support patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Physician will actively utilize appropriate information technology for care and clinical documentation as applicable to the service delivery setting including quality related payer program guidelines.
- If applicable Physician will respond promptly and appropriately when on assigned or unassigned call.
- Physician will engage in the creation of a clinic call schedule and if applicable hospital call rotation.
- Physician shall engage and support any WTH/WTMG applicable training initiatives.
- Physician will provide appropriate access to patients with open schedules per WTMG Access policy and guidelines.
- Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
- Physicians will work in conjunction with UT staff to supervise residents while in clinical rotations.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an approved School of Medicine
- MD or DO degree as required for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Tennessee
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:
- Licenses to practice Medicine in the State of Tennessee
- Board Eligibility or Board Certification in area of specialty preferred
- Current narcotics license issued by the Drug Enforcement Agency
- ACLS and BLS applicable if required by facility bylaws
