Fault Management L2 Engineer 2

The Fault Management L2 Engineer 2 will play a crucial role in our MI S MS GD GDC NOC CORE 1 d (L08) department. This position requires a deep understanding of core network operations and the ability to manage and troubleshoot complex IMS Core (Nokia, ZTE & Huawei) and Oracle DSR environments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in network operations and maintenance, with a focus on IMS and Oracle DSR technologies.

  • Handle customer issues and provide proactive support to ensure network stability and performance.
  • Manage software updates and ensure smooth implementation across the IMS Core network.
  • Analyze, configure, and integrate nodes/networks/systems, following best practices and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to IMS Core, SBC, TAS, CFX, and Oracle DSR components.
  • Perform end-to-end coordination and analysis of IMS Network issues, including collaboration with hub locations.
  • Utilize tools like Wireshark and internal system traces/logs for effective troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Maintain and optimize the performance of the Core IMS Network (Nokia, ZTE & Huawei), ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in Cloud Native Architecture, Microservices, and Docker.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth operations.
  • B.E/B. Tech degree in a relevant field with 8-12 years of experience in core network operations.
  • Extensive experience with IMS Core, Oracle DSR, Nokia Cloud (CBIS, CFX, NTAS, SBC), and related technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Interfaces and Protocols: SIP, DIAMETER, DNS, ISUP, MAP, INAP, CAMEL, etc.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Native Architecture, Microservices, Kubernetes, and Docker is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Oracle DSR Core network operations, including SBC, TAS, CFX, and Cloud (Open Stack).
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle DSR and Nokia IMS CFX, TAS, SBC, and Cloud technologies.
  • A proactive and customer-centric approach to handling issues and providing support.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
