Instrument & Controls Technician
As an Instrument & Controls Technician, you will provide important electrical and instrumentation support to the Fairburn, GA plant by testing, troubleshooting, and repairing a range of electronic equipment.
Some of your essential duties and responsibilities may include:
Analyzing and addressing the root causes of electrical issues to repair complicated electrical equipment.
Maintaining microprocessors, PLC, motor drive, operator interface terminals, and robotic systems by making modifications and installing parts as necessary
Reading and using diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering instructions
You may fit well into this role if you have:
A current Low Voltage Qualification (LVQ) qualified or can do so within first month of onboarding.
Electrical Technical School / Military equivalent or 2+ years Industrial Electrical experience.
Have a basic knowledge of electronics and electrical theories, including digital circuitry, AC/DC theory, microprocessors, and logic systems.
Can work as a member of a team and communicate technical information to other personnel.
Need to have exposure to automated controls systems in a high-speed application.
Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLC controllers, including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and MicroLogix platforms, using RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000 software for ladder logic diagnostics, fault identification, and program modifications.
Experience troubleshooting Siemens PLC controllers, including S7-300, S7-400, and S7-1200/1500 series, using TIA Portal and STEP 7 software for program diagnostics, fault analysis, and online monitoring of ladder, FBD, or STL logic.
