Feedmill Engineer I

Provides assistance to Feedmill Engineer 2, Feedmill Engineer 4 and Material planner. Ensures micro hand adds readiness and accuracy, and monitors micro ingredients and packaging materials availability in the process area. The position is also responsible for contributing to the achievement of the quality objectives of the plant by performing the functions of key positions in the plant.

Feeds Production Operations

  1. Review production schedule and issue hand adds print out for micro preparation based on the insufficient Hand adds inventory on floor.

  2. Tracks micro hand ads prepared in his shift and conduct physical inventory and inspection to ensure weight accuracy and correct ingredients are utilized for the specific diet.

  3. Examine processes and recommend innovative ideas in improving efficiency , accuracy and quality of the process.

  4. Learns and understands the feed milling processes and develop the skills required to be able to assist the Feedmill Engineer 2 in;

    1. Materials elevation and process bins management

    2. Batching, grinding and mixing operations

    3. Pelleting and fat coating operation

    4. Bagging operation

  5. Act as feedmill Engineer 2 as maybe required

  6. Operates the granum silo system:

    1. Material Elevation to granum silo

    2. Material transfer to feedmill bins and silos

    3. Operates recirculation of material as required

    4. Operates circulatory fan

  7. Learns and understands the materials receiving and storage process and develop the skills required to be able to assist the Materials Planner in;

    1. Materials receiving and storage management

    2. Inventory management and procurement planning

  8. Create and update various monitoring and files that are related to performance metrics as required

Inventory Monitoring and Material Planning

  1. Monitor the inventory of Micro, Sacks and tags on the production area.. Based on the SKU that must be produced for 48 hours in production schedule and each item's SSL, determine which critical items must be pulled out from warehouse

  2. Monitor Macro Bin and silos inventory level and create an elevation plan based on the bin spare capacity and forecasted usage of 24 hrs based on the line up.

  3. Assist in inventory reconciliation as required.

  4. Create and update various monitoring and files that are related to inventory management and performance as required.

SAP Transaction

  1. Perform the system posting of the goods received for the bulk feeds produced during his shift accurately .

  2. Perform the system posting the consumed Electricity , Fuel, Labor and machine time for the process orders that are produced during the shift or as assigned.

  3. Perform the system posting of used raw material for each process orders that are produced during the shift or as assigned.

  4. Perform the system posting in SAP of the material transfer and other inventory and/or quality movements

Other Tasks

  1. Learns and understands processes of other departments through immersion and development training in other departments as maybe required.

  2. Actively participates in company programs and provides support at all times.

  3. Assists in the ISO/HACCP related activities such as, but not limited to, control of records, implementation, system writing, etc.

  4. Establishes, maintains, recommends and implements a good housekeeping program for all areas of responsibility to ensure compliance to food safety standards set by HACCP & GMP.

  5. Performs other related works as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Food Safety:

  1. Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.

  2. Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.

  2. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Team Leader.

Education:

  • Graduate of Engineering Course preferably Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Communication/Agricultural and Biosystems/Industrial Engineering


Experience:

  • One (1) year experience in feeds production or manufacturing company

Licenses:

  • Licensed ME/EE/ECE/ABE
