To support Prysmian's coming challenges in optical fiber market, our Digital Solutions Supply Chain team is looking for a position as:

Fiber Global material planner - F/M.

Reporting to Optical Fiber Supply Chain Manager, the global material planner is the key planning interface between fiber production plants (Douvrin - FR, Sorocaba BR - Claremont NC, Slatina RO and Eindhoven NL) and cable plants located in all continents.

Job position located in Douvrin (France, 62), where Prysmian is developping and manufacturing optical fibers in a high-tech factory.

Planning and Scheduling

• Determines the required volumes and generates purchase orders from cable plants to fiber plants.
• Ensures scheduling for fiber plants is aligned with master plan / rolling forecast
• Schedules and oversees the supply and delivery of fibers to cable plants. Highlights the deviations in timely manner.

• Works closely with Customer Service Center to resolve supply or transportation issues.

Inventory & Materials Management

• Manages inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
• Prepares performance reports on inventories, On Time Delivery.

• Partners with Inventory Planning and Plant Logistics to define storage strategy,

• Monitors quality of fiber inventory in fiber plants. Analyses the level of slow moving stock and develops alternative outlets with support of sales department or product management.

Continuous Improvement

• Partners with global planning teams to develop and implement supply planning tools, processes, and best practices.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of supply chain planning.

Data-driven decision-making; advanced Excel or planning analytics tools preferred.

Perfect English speaking and good French.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication and ability to negotiate.

Problem-solving mindset with capability to work under pressure.

Analytical thinking and high attention to detail.

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in manufacturing environment (highly desirable).

3-7 years of supply chain planning or experience of leadership in operations
