Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Installation Supervisor to lead installation crews on commercial metal fabrication projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the installation of stairs, railings, and other miscellaneous metal products while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in miscellaneous metals, enjoys leading field teams, and is comfortable coordinating daily activities with contractors and project personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct installation crews on commercial job sites
  • Coordinate daily work activities with General Contractors and other project partners
  • Oversee the installation of stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal assemblies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and layout information to ensure accurate installation
  • Organize labor, materials, equipment, and tools to maintain efficient project workflow
  • Verify that required crew certifications are current before work begins
  • Complete daily job site reports, vehicle inspections, and other required documentation
  • Monitor the condition of company tools, service vehicles, and equipment
  • Promote safe work practices by enforcing PPE requirements and site-specific safety procedures
  • Conduct and document Toolbox Talks while maintaining compliance with company safety standards
  • Ensure projects meet quality expectations and installation requirements
  • Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in the miscellaneous metals industry
  • Supervisory or Foreman experience leading field installation crews preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and safety documentation
  • Strong math skills, including measurements, angles, and degrees
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards
  • Experience with welding processes including:
    • SMAW
    • FCAW
    • GMAW
    • GTAW
    • Current welding certifications or the ability to successfully complete a welding test
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
