Field Sales Engineer – Factory Automation Solutions
Position Summary:
If you are a Field Sales Engineer – Factory Automation Solutions professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role, based in Brno, Czech Republic, offers an exciting chance to drive new business and shape customer solutions across Moravia and beyond. In this position, you will focus on identifying new customers, developing business opportunities, and delivering value through Emerson’s Fluid and Motion Control portfolio. Focusing on our Factory Automation brands AVENTICS and AFAG, providing unique pneumatic and electric linear motion and vibration feeding solutions. You will collaborate with customers such as machine builders, OEMs, and End Users in automotive, food & beverage, packaging, special machinery, medical manufacturing—helping them optimize performance through innovative motion control technologies.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Actively identify, develop, and win new business opportunities through prospecting and lead follow-up
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers across the region
- Engage with customers to understand application needs and recommend suitable factory automation solutions (pneumatic actuation, electric linear motion, component feeding systems)
- Drive sales growth through structured territory planning and proactive market development
- Conduct regular customer visits, technical discussions, and solution presentations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to expand Emerson’s footprint
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Inside Sales and technical experts
- Participate in trade fairs, industry events, and training to build market presence
- Maintain accurate and transparent reporting of activities, opportunities, and forecasts
- Travel regularly within Moravia and surrounding areas to stay close to customers

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience or strong interest in technical sales within factory or machine automation environments
- Motivation and drive to actively develop new business and expand customer networks
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the region
- Fluent Czech / Slovak and good English communication skills
- Valid driving license
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience with motion control technologies such as pneumatic systems, electric linear motion, or industrial component feeding
- Exposure to OEMs, machine builders, automotive, packaging, or food & beverage manufacturing
- Early-career professionals, including recent graduates with strong technical foundations and a passion for sales
- Experience in consultative or solution-based selling
- Familiarity with CRM tools and structured sales processes
