Field Service & Maintenance Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repair on industrial laundry equipment such as tunnel washers, washer extractors, dryers, ironers, folders, and conveyors.
- System Diagnosis: Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults. This includes working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for system adjustments.
- Operational Support: Respond promptly to breakdown situations, assess problems, and take appropriate action to minimize operational downtime.
- Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, manage an inventory of tools and spare parts, and adhere to workplace safety and health (EHS) policies.
- Installation & Modification: Assist in the installation of new laundry or plant equipment, including fabrication, dismantling, and modification of existing machinery.
- Spare Parts Management: Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies necessary for repairs; assist in the spare parts process.
- Process Optimization: Review operational processes and frameworks to achieve continuous improvement and service excellence. Prepare and submit performance & maintenance reports.
- Team Leadership: Provide training for staff, manage maintenance activities, and coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely operations.
- Customer & Quality Service: Enforce quality and customer service standards, managing aspects from customer service to operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting abilities. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
- Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently, a good team player, and flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
