Field Service Tech

Perform repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software, make technical reports, planning the tasks to make repair procedures on the time previews , execute tasks with a better quality service, Perform basic inspections, Basic Knowing tools: compressor, lathe, drilling, and welding machines, lifting and transport method, Having the knowledge about MANITOWOC procedures to assembly, maintain, and repair cranes, Build a trustful list of parts and services necessary to repair MANITOWOC equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems of medium complexity.
  • Perform functional tests and adjustments following OEM specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals for complex repairs.
  • Prepare parts lists and job plans for service orders.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and documentation.
  • Lead or support annual inspections with technical responsibility.
  • Provide technical support to customers and field teams when required.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software systems
  • Ability to perform basic inspections and diagnostics
  • Proficiency with tools such as compressors, lathes, drills, welding equipment, and lifting/transport devices
  • Familiarity with MANITOWOC procedures for crane assembly, maintenance, and repair
  • Capacity to prepare accurate technical reports and parts/service lists
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Professional and courteous behavior, even under pressure
  • Proactive attitude and ability to share technical knowledge

  • Willingness to collaborate with other departments and support process improvements
  • Basics knowledge in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PDF software

Required Education and Experience:

  • Technical diploma or technologist degree in mechanical, electromechanical or industrial maintenance.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in crane maintenance, heavy equipment repair, or mechanical refurbishment
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with workshop safety standards and procedures
  • Previous experience in a shop or industrial environment preferred
