Your work environment at EXP

At EXP, we’re looking for a driven professional to be a part of our Environment/Earth Science - Geotechnical team, based in our Sudbury office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of impactful projects in the region.

What a Day at EXP Looks Like

  • Conduct soil identification and classification.
  • Monitor site grading activities, including limited surveying tasks.
  • Perform in situ density and compaction testing.
  • Sample and test concrete, mortar, grout, and asphalt.
  • Conduct soil and groundwater sampling and analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and municipal personnel.
  • Receive training and provide support in the concrete and soils laboratory.

What Your Experience Looks Like

  • College diploma in architecture, construction, civil engineering, or environmental sciences.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with MTO, CSA, CCIL, and ASTM procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous relevant experience, including co-op work terms, is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites throughout Southern Ontario (mileage and expenses reimbursed).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this role is between $44K - $59K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
