Finance Advice Expert

ING is looking for an all-round Finance Advice professional who is motived and capable to contribute to the advice role of Finance at ING Bank level and continue to develop her- or himself as an all-round Finance expert.

The Team:

The Management Advice team consists of 6 Finance professionals, all with their own expertise and generally with +5 years of experience at various levels of the organisation. The team is part of the Management Accounting & Advice department and is characterized as a horizontal and flexible organisation in order to adapt to the changing environment and priorities. Given the stakeholders of the department, values such as taking ownership of responsibilities and quality control are clearly embedded within the culture of the department.
Working in the team requires interaction with many stakeholders both internally (finance departments in countries and business lines, MBB, Risk, Capital Management, Bank Treasury, Corporate Strategy, COO, Chief Innovation Officer, Investor Relations, etc) and externally (DNB, ECB, consultancy firms, accountants, etc).

Roles and responsibilities:

• You will be working in the Management Advice team within Group Finance at ING Bank head-office level, which is responsible for a.o. coordinating bank-wide processes such as Dynamic Planning, Rolling Forecast, reviewing business-cases, as well as many ad-hoc projects throughout the Bank. The team fulfils a ‘lighthouse’ function within the Finance domain and plays an important role in providing advice to Management Board Banking, setting financial targets for ING Bank and supporting in strategic direction. As such the team has a strong and multi-disciplinary network of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Your job will be to contribute to various processes and strategic projects across the Bank, prepare advice to further optimize ING financial ambitions and to act as a Finance ambassador towards other functions.

You are able to deliver meaningful insights quickly and leverage your analytical skills and your network to navigate through the organization for the optimal solution. Furthermore you are a team player who enjoys taking on new challenges. Furthermore, you adhere to the ING values and it is evident for you that your behaviour is fully aligned with these values. Skills required

• Strong analytical skills: able to understand complex matters quickly
• Excellent communicator: explain complex matters in a simple and efficient way
• All-round knowledge of Finance processes and banking industry concepts
• More than 5 years of Management Accounting experience in ING Group
• Pro-active attitude and takes ownership of responsibilities
• Flexible and pragmatic: capable of delivering in a changing environment
• Accurate: quality of work should match with high standards of our stakeholders
• Fluent speaking and writing skills in English
• Excellent MS Excel and MS Power Point skills
