A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to\njoin our Anchor Group Services\u2019 Finance team at our Head Quarters in Chester\nBusiness Park. This role is ideal for an organised and motivated individual\nlooking to develop their career within a busy and supportive finance\nenvironment.<\/span>
<\/p>

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting\nthe day\-to\-day financial operations of the business, ensuring transactions are\nprocessed accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining high levels of customer\nservice to both internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with\ncolleagues across the Finance Department, you will gain valuable exposure to a\nwide range of accounting functions.<\/span>

This position offers an excellent opportunity to build upon\nyour existing finance knowledge whilst developing new skills within a\nfast\-paced and growing organisation. Full support will be provided for\nprofessional development, including the opportunity to work towards and achieve\na Level 3 AAT qualification.<\/span>

Responsibilities include:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

  • Accurately coding and processing supplier invoices into Sage\nvia the Yooz invoice management system.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Overseeing and maintaining purchase ledger accounts, ensuring\nall records are up to date and accurate.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Generating and issuing sales invoices<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Verifying bank transactions to ensure accurate financial\nrecords.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Managing the Accounts/Finance inbox, responding to enquiries\nand directing correspondence appropriately.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Establishing new customer and supplier accounts in accordance\nwith company procedures.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Recording daily bank receipts and payments.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Processing supplier payments and ensuring payments are made\nwithin agreed terms.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Verifying supplier statements and investigating any\ndiscrepancies or outstanding items.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Handling finance\-related correspondence professionally and\nefficiently.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Assisting with the day\-to\-day operations of the Finance\nDepartment.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Processing purchase orders (POs).<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Responding to and resolving supplier invoice queries in a\ntimely and professional manner.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Handling payroll\-related queries.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Assisting with payroll administration activities to support\nthe timely and accurate processing of payroll.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Managing creditor accounts<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Maintaining accurate financial records in line with company\nprocedures.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Building positive working relationships with suppliers,\ncustomers, and colleagues across the business.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures at\nall times<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li><\/ul><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • Level 2 AAT qualified or equivalent.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • At least 2 years finance experience or equivalent.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Proficiency in various finance tasks, including bank\ntransactions, and nominal ledger reconciliations.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multi\-task\nand prioritise own workload.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Good attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel,\nOutlook, and Access.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Excellent written English, strong email communication skills.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Calm and resourceful with the ability to respond effectively\nand positively to pressure.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to thrive in a fast\-paced, demanding, and\never\-changing environment.<\/span>
