Finance Business Partner - Corporate Services and Living Well

Your Role as Financial Accountant

As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll work closely with operational leaders to deliver financial insights, performance analysis and strategic advice that supports informed decision-making.

You will play a key role in ensuring strong financial management across both corporate and service delivery functions, contributing to business sustainability, innovation and growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with leaders to provide financial advice and insights that support informed decision-making.

  • Develop financial models, scenario analysis and cost–benefit assessments to evaluate strategic opportunities.

  • Turn complex financial and operational data into clear, practical recommendations.

  • Support business planning, performance reviews and investment decisions with trusted financial guidance.

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring forecasts are accurate, evidence-based and aligned with organisational goals.

  • Prepare monthly performance reports, including KPI tracking, variance analysis and key business insights.

  • Assist with business cases for new programs, service expansions and tender opportunities.

  • Improve financial systems, reporting and data quality while supporting compliance, audits and governance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance, with CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in FP&A, management accounting or business partnering roles.

  • Strong skills in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

  • The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.

  • Experience using ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, TechOne or similar).

  • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.

A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!

  • Experience in not-for-profit, healthcare, aged care or government-funded environments.

  • Exposure to business case development or transformation initiatives.

  • Experience in multi-portfolio or complex organisations.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.

  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
