As part of this set-up, Magnum Ice Cream will establish a future-fit and innovative GBS organization, partnering with multiple business functions across a global footprint to optimize processes, unlock business savings, and operational efficiency.
The GBS organization will partner key business functions including Finance, Enterprise Solutions and Information Technology, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Marketing, Customer Development and Sales, and Sustainability. A significant proportion of GBS roles will be based in one of our GBS hubs, with supporting spokes to be established in the Americas and Europe.
The Role
Your role will be to support the GBS Bucharest as a finance business partner, budget management capex, opex etc. including timely exits of TSAs to support the demerging of Unilever and Magnum Ice Cream, and thereby a GBS for the Ice cream business.
In addition, you will lead a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities for process standardization and improvement not only locally but also support global finance initiatives.
What you will be responsible for:
Set Up :
- Refining and understanding GBS Centre budgetary needs both people and non-people and drive the functions to provide detailed forecast in spend
- Setting up and adherence to the right cost centre hierarchy and mapping for the Establishment spends
- Site Setup & Expansion: Assist in establishing new GBS sites, including financial infrastructure and controls.
- Treasury & Cash Flow: Monitor liquidity and support centre reporting during and from set up.
Ongoing :
- Data Modelling & Business Cases: Build models to evaluate new opportunities coming into the GBS sites and project profitability
- Act as Bucharest GBS finance BP and finance controller
- Monitoring the establishment project budgets and financial performance, ensuring that expenditure is aligned with the allocated budget
- Ensuring cost is correctly allocated to the right budgets and are reported correctly. Guidance is issued to the stakeholders for establishment cost management
- Preparing and present management reporting that outline project budgets and forecast, and any potential risks or deviations from the plan.
- Ensure Budgetary project risk like delays and overruns are controlled and mitigated.
- Month-End Close & Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance of numbers of each centre.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Present financial insights to stakeholders, support decision-making, and influence strategy.
- Collaborating closely with Centre heads, project managers, stakeholders, and team members to provide timely financial and performance updates.
What we are looking for:
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting
- Must have shared services experience, experienced in different pricing and Charge service models
- Experienced finance controller will be preferred.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a global matrix organization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Advantage
- Tax & LE statutory reporting experience
- SAP S4 experience preferred, global and multinational experience.
- Lean practitioner or equivalent

Qualifications
- Chartered accountant or Graduate Degree with relevant experience
- Fluent in English language, additional languages are a plus
