Finance Officer - Accounts (Resident / Work Permit in Malta)

We are seeking a Finance Officer - Accounts to support our continued growth by supporting the financial / accounting operations and ensuring we meet all our legal requirements. The candidate will be required to demonstrate a keen interest in accounting activities including the preparation of management accounts. In addition possess excellent organizational skills and be efficient in handling time-sensitive tasks.


Responsibilities:


Day to Day Accounting Responsibilities:


· Maintaining of accurate accounting records on our Finance Systems - Reconciliation / Payments.

· Preparation of Timely Management Information & Reporting.

· Business Stakeholder Engagement.

· Lead / Support Auditing Procedures / Processes.


Leading / Participating on various projects and change activities across Finance:


· Liaising / Engaging with relevant Stakeholders across the organisation and externally

· Leveraging Third Party expertise where required.

· Ensure appropriate documentation of all Policies and Procedures.


Providing Support to Finance Team:


· Identifying opportunities for process and performance improvement

· Contributing to a robust controls culture across the team

· Execution of ad hoc activities as required by Senior Management


Experience & Skills:


· Previous Experience in a Finance / Accounting role (2 to 4 Yrs.) (Banking a Plus+)

· Good Understanding of Regulation, including CRR, and the Regulatory Reporting Framework – An Advantage

· Good Knowledge of Financial and Accounting Procedures in a similar role.

· Experience in using Financial Software / Accounting Packages

· Advanced MS Excel skills

· Ideally Knowledge of Financial Regulations

· Good Analytical and Numerical Skills

· Strong Work Ethic

· Studying or Part Qualified in ACCA

· Fluent in English
