Role Overview<\/span><\/span><\/b>

The\naccountant will oversee financial management of project funds, disbursements to\nSSRs, compliance monitoring, and reporting for the CSC 2.0 program. This role\ninvolves collaboration with program managers, grants teams, and SSR partners to\nensure adequate financial operations that align with donor and organisational\nrequirements.<\/span><\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b>

Financial Management\nand Disbursement:<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>
  • Oversee funding\ndisbursement to SSRs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Support grant agreement\nprocesses and collaborate on budget development and financial reporting with\nthe Program Manager.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Manage daily accounts,\nincluding computerised financial systems and record\-keeping.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Ensure timely payments,\nbank reconciliations, advance settlements, and tax compliance.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Monitoring and\nCompliance<\/span><\/span><\/b>:<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/p>

    • Conduct regular\nmonitoring visits to SSRs to ensure compliance with GFATM and local\nregulations.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Evaluate SSR financial\nperformance and internal control systems, providing technical assistance as\nneeded.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Ensure financial systems\nand reporting align with donor protocols and organisational guidelines.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Collaboration and\nReporting:<\/span><\/span><\/b>
      <\/span><\/p>

      • Work closely with the\ngrants management team on budgets, work plans, disbursements, and audits.<\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Prepare and submit\naccurate financial reports to the Finance Lead at YRGCARE, Chennai.<\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Respond to queries\nrelated to budget utilization and financial compliance.<\/span><\/span>

        • Provide technical\nassistance to SSRs for financial record\-keeping and compliance.<\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Assist in designing\nbudgets aligned with programmatic goals.<\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Ensure adherence to\nGFATM & PR financial guidelines, including statutory and contractual\ncompliance.<\/span><\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Undertake any additional\nresponsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

          Requirements<\/h3>

          Eligibility Criteria<\/span><\/span><\/b>
          <\/p>

          • Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s\ndegree in Commerce (B. Com/M. Com) with 3\u20135 years of accounting experience.<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Experience in the\nnon\-profit or health sector is preferred.<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Experience with GFATM\nfinancial policies and audit coordination will be an advantage<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Skills and Competencies<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Proficiency in\ncomputerised accounting software, particularly Tally.<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Expertise in compliance\nwith statutory and donor requirements, especially in the non\-profit sector.<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Familiarity with NGO\npartnerships, donor environments, and technical financial management.<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Strong ability to work\nwith grant management teams and SSRs on budget planning and audits.<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Willingness to undertake\nextensive travel within the assigned state(s).<\/span><\/span>
            <\/span><\/li>
          • Fluency in English,\nHindi, and/or other local languages.<\/span><\/span>
