To\nsupport both the Head of Finance BPA and Head of Finance in managing the WFS\nFinancial reporting framework, by partnering and leading a team ensuring all\nreporting responsibilities to key stakeholders are effectively executed within\na robust framework and aligned to shareholder requirements as well as to\nprovide the business with commercial thought leadership, insightful financial\n& commercial analysis, accurate financial reporting.<\/span><\/span>

  • Management\nand financial reporting (not financial accounting) across various dimensions,\nincluding weekly and monthly performance reporting, which includes being part\nof month end close process<\/span><\/span><\/span>

    • Timely delivery of WFS performance\nreporting (management accounts) for Board, Exco and leadership groups,\nincluding:<\/span><\/span>

      \-<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Analysis of variances against budget\nand forecasts;<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/p>

      • Ensure approval and timely\nsubmission of weekly, monthly and annual performance to WW and Absa.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

        • Monthly financial reporting to\nshareholders.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

            • Management of staff members\naccording to HR Best Practice and Policies: recruitment, induction, task\nsetting and delegation, performance management, development planning, managing\nstaffing capacity, succession planning, rewards and recognition and employee\nrelations issues.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

            • Attend to and resolve all staff\nrelated issues.<\/span><\/span>

            • Ascertain all people administrative\nmatters are effectively handled.<\/span><\/span>

              • 3 year university degree in Accounting, Financial\nAccounting and/or Business<\/span><\/span>

                      • Excellent communication skills\nincluding strong ability to communicate (verbal and written) strategic and\nfinancial reporting to Exco and leadership teams.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

                      • Strong analytical skills including\nvariance analysis and interpreting the impact of current/forecast circumstances\non future business performance.<\/span><\/span>
                        <\/span><\/li>
                      • Strong accounting knowledge (IFRS\netc.).<\/span><\/span>
                        <\/span><\/li>
                      • Ability to design and review\naccurate financial modelling in Excel.<\/span><\/span>
                        <\/span><\/li>
                      • Experience of complex GL and\nreporting systems e.g. Oracle.<\/span><\/span>
                        <\/span><\/li>
                      • Knowledge of retail\nfinancial services business or similar large corporate environment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
