Financial Analysis Vice President – Consumer Banking Field Finance

Join the Consumer Banking Field Finance team for an exciting opportunity to partner across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our team is responsible for financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.

As a Financial Analysis Vice President on the Field Forecasting & Analytics team, you will provide direct finance support to employees both in and supporting the Branch Banking business. You will be expected to analyze, prepare, and reconcile financial and business results with specific focus on the value generated by the Branch Banking channel, will be involved with projects to measure and increase the efficiency of the branches, and will be expected to display leadership in interactions with peers, colleagues, and senior leaders while assisting with strategic direction and decision making. In addition, you will assist the broader Consumer Banking Finance organization with special projects or components of other projects, as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage financial budgeting and prepare reporting, forecasting and analysis
  • Provide efficiency reporting, analytics and strategy including, but not limited to location strategy, span of control, reporting and analytics
  • Represent the business in respective internal working groups
  • Create financial business cases supporting business initiatives
  • Develop and track performance metrics, create presentations, and generally provide financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management
  • Oversee the process to deliver month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years
  • Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and present commentary to Finance and line of business leadership explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets
  • Help design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
  • Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature
  • 7+ years of work experience with a background in Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Management, Accounting or Controller
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Integrity in handling highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Financial Services experience
  • Competency in data tools such as Databricks, Alteryx, SQL, Python preferred
