We are looking for a highly driven and commercially strong Financial Controller to lead the finance and accounts function for a fast\-growing FMCG business. The role requires complete ownership of financial reporting, controls, compliance, budgeting, working capital, distributor finance management, inventory controls, and business planning.<\/span>

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in FMCG operations, distribution\-led business models, inventory accounting, taxation, and MIS\-driven decision making. This role demands a hands\-on leader who can build systems, improve financial discipline, and partner with business teams to drive profitability and scale.<\/span>

\n Financial Reporting & Compliance<\/span><\/span><\/b>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Own end\-to\-end financial reporting \u2014 P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements \u2014 on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, and all other statutory obligations.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Manage statutory and internal audits; prepare audit schedules and coordinate with auditors.<\/span>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Monitor deferred tax, advance tax computation, and tax audit requirements.<\/span>

Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Planning<\/span><\/span><\/b>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long\-range financial planning exercises.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Prepare and present MIS dashboards, variance analyses, and business performance reports to the Founder and leadership team.<\/span>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Partner with sales, supply chain, and operations teams to support commercial decision\-making with financial insights.<\/span>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Conduct profitability analysis by SKU, channel, and distributor to identify margin improvement opportunities.<\/span>

Working Capital, Cash Flow & Distributor Finance<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Manage and optimise working capital \u2014 debtors, creditors, inventory, and bank limits.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Oversee distributor payment cycles, credit terms, scheme accounting, and distributor reconciliations.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Monitor daily cash position and ensure liquidity for business operations.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Liaise with banks for working capital facilities, term loans, and trade finance instruments.<\/span>

Inventory, Costing & Internal Controls<\/span><\/span><\/b>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and periodic physical verification processes.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Build and maintain a robust product costing framework \u2014 standard costing, variance analysis, and landed cost tracking.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Design and enforce internal financial controls, SOPs, and accounting policies across the business.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Manage ERP/accounting system hygiene \u2014 chart of accounts, approval hierarchies, and system\-based reconciliations.<\/span>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Build, lead, and mentor the finance and accounts team to deliver timely and accurate financial outputs.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Act as the primary finance business partner to the Founder \u2014 translating financial data into strategic insights.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Manage relationships with auditors, bankers, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.<\/span>

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI; MBA Finance from a reputed institution will be considered.

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>5\u201310 years of post\-qualification experience, with a strong preference for FMCG, Consumer Goods, or Distribution\-led businesses.
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Hands\-on expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance management.
<\/span><\/p>
\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Proven experience managing financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, and business planning in a growth\-stage or mid\-sized company.

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Deep understanding of FMCG distribution models \u2014 scheme accounting, primary/secondary sales accounting, distributor finance.

\u2022<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong command of ERP systems (Zoho Books) and advanced MS Excel.
