The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role offers an excellent opportunity to partner across multiple business areas. The position blends traditional financial control with ownership of revenue and sales operations, customer master data management, cost controlling, and period-end accounting. Additionally, you will oversee transfer pricing activities and support statutory reporting and audits. Working closely with Commercial Finance, Tax, Treasury, external accounting providers, and key stakeholders, you will ensure robust financial controls and accurate reporting. This role spans both US and Canadian legal entities, requiring seamless cross-border coordination to maintain compliance and deliver strong operational support.

Requirements

Revenue & Sales Operations

  • Own and oversee the end-to-end revenue cycle, including contract review, sales order management, billing, invoicing, revenue recognition and accounts receivable support.
  • Reviewing monthly go-live reports and new deal logs.
  • Reviewing revenue forecasts and on-hold contract reports.
  • Reviewing Accounts Receivable (AR) comments and supporting collection activities.
  • Analysing revenue streams, reviewing revenue recognition entries, deferred revenue balances, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Preparing and distributing revenue reporting packages and long-term revenue forecasts to Commercial
  • Finance Maintaining customer master data within the billing system and reviewing and updating customer records.

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Support monthly, quarterly, half-year and year-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries, accounting adjustments, accruals and other month-end postings.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial accounting and controls, including revenue recognition, accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, provisions, payroll accounting, and sales tax/VAT reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review management reporting and consolidation submissions, ensuring timely and accurate financial information for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity and completeness of financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, reporting requirements, and internal control policies.

Payments and Expenses

  • Reviewing payment runs, employee expense claims, corporate credit card transactions and related supporting documentation.
  • Managing specific regulatory and customs-related payments where applicable.

Transfer Pricing & Intercompany

  • Manage intercompany transactions, allocations and transfer pricing activities.
  • Support related accounting entries and financial analysis.

Compliance, Audit and External Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
  • Support statutory reporting, external audits and regulatory submissions.

Process Improvement and Systems

  • Identifying opportunities to improve, standardise and automate financial processes and revenue operations activities.
  • Supporting implementation of new financial systems, controls and reporting solutions.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of US and/or Canadian GAAP.
  • Experience with revenue accounting and revenue recognition processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, Sage or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of transfer pricing, intercompany accounting and financial controls.
  • Experience working with external auditors and third-party service providers.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
