In this\nrole, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring\naccurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory\nrequirements in a fast\-paced and evolving fintech environment. <\/p>Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>1. Financial\nOperations & Management:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Oversee Financial Transactions: <\/span><\/b>Manage and supervise all\n daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts\n receivable, cash management, and bank reconciliations.<\/span>
<\/li>- Cash Flow Management: <\/span><\/b>Monitor cash flow to ensure\n the business has the necessary liquidity to meet operational needs,\n forecast cash requirements, and maintain adequate working capital.<\/span>
<\/li>- Ensure Accuracy & Timeliness: <\/span><\/b>Ensure that all financial\n transactions are recorded accurately, on time, and in accordance with the\n company\u2019s accounting policies and IFRS standards.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>2. Financial\nReporting & Analysis:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Reports: <\/span><\/b>Lead the preparation of\n timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements,\n ensuring they comply with IFRS and UAE regulations.<\/span>
<\/li>- Financial Analysis & Insights: <\/span><\/b>Provide in\-depth financial\n analysis and business insights, including variance analysis against\n budgets, forecasting, and performance metrics. Present findings to senior\n leadership and suggest actionable improvements.<\/span>
<\/li>- Financial KPIs: <\/span><\/b>Develop, track, and report on\n key financial metrics and KPIs that provide transparency into the\n company's performance, profitability, and cost efficiency.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>3. Regulatory\n& Compliance Reporting:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Tax Compliance & Reporting: <\/span><\/b>Oversee the preparation of\n tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations, VAT filings,\n and other statutory obligations in the UAE. Manage relationships with tax\n authorities and external tax advisors.<\/span>
<\/li>- Regulatory Filings: <\/span><\/b>Ensure compliance with local\n and international financial regulations, including those set by the UAE\n Central Bank, SCA (Securities & Commodities Authority), and other\n relevant authorities. This includes preparation and submission of\n financial reports to regulatory bodies on a timely basis.<\/span>
<\/li>- Audit Coordination: <\/span><\/b>Manage and liaise with\n external auditors to ensure smooth and timely audit processes. Ensure that\n audit findings are addressed and any recommendations are implemented.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>5. Internal\nControls & Risk Management:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Enhance Internal Controls: <\/span><\/b>Establish, review, and\n improve internal control systems to safeguard the company's assets, ensure\n the accuracy of financial reporting, and prevent fraud.<\/span>
<\/li>- Financial Risk Management: <\/span><\/b>Identify and manage financial\n risks, including foreign exchange, credit, and operational risks. Work\n with risk team to implement robust mitigation strategies.<\/span>
<\/li>- Compliance & Audit Readiness: <\/span><\/b>Ensure the business is always\n audit\-ready and compliant with accounting standards, internal policies,\n and regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic internal audits to identify\n areas for improvement.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>6. Financial\nSystems & Process Optimization:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Financial Systems Management: <\/span><\/b>Oversee and improve the\n financial software and systems (e.g., MS Dynamics, SAP, or QuickBooks),\n ensuring they are used efficiently and effectively across the\n organization.<\/span>
<\/li>- Process Improvement: <\/span><\/b>Continuously evaluate and\n streamline financial processes, identifying opportunities to enhance\n efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy across financial\n operations.<\/span>
<\/li>- Integration with Business Functions: <\/span><\/b>Collaborate closely with\n other departments (e.g., HR, Operations, Legal) to ensure alignment of\n financial and business processes and optimize workflows.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>7. Leadership\n& Team Development:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Manage Finance Team: <\/span><\/b>Lead and mentor a growing\n team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration,\n transparency, and high performance.<\/span>
<\/li>- Training & Development: <\/span><\/b>Provide ongoing professional\n development opportunities for team members. Promote a learning environment\n to continuously build the technical and leadership skills of the finance\n team.<\/span>
<\/li>- Cross\-Functional Collaboration: <\/span><\/b>Work closely with other\n departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to provide\n financial support and insights that inform decision\-making and drive\n business performance.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Skills & Qualifications:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>- Experience: <\/span><\/b>Minimum\nof 10\-12 years in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership\nposition, preferably in fintech, financial services, or a startup environment.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Education: <\/span><\/b>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related\nfield. CPA, CMA, ACCA, or similar certifications are highly preferred.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Regulatory Expertise: <\/span><\/b>Extensive\nknowledge of UAE financial regulations, IFRS, VAT, tax laws, and compliance\nrequirements.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Technical Proficiency: <\/span><\/b>Advanced skills\nin financial software (e.g., MS Dynamics, SAP, QuickBooks), Excel, and\nfinancial modeling. Experience with Power BI and data analytics tools is a\nplus.<\/span>
