The role

We are at an inflection point. We just completed a transaction with JMI, the business is scaling fast, and the demands on finance are scaling with it. We are not looking for an analyst to master our existing processes. We are looking for someone to improve them. Someone who pairs rigorous financial discipline with applied AI fluency to deliver insight faster, embed financial thinking deeper into the company, and build tools that make every team more financially literate.

This is a high-visibility role working directly with our most senior leaders. You will be a financial thought partner to GTM, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, not just their report provider. The job is to get every function working off the same numbers and to make the P&L impact of their decisions clear before they make them.

We move at the pace of AI, so comfort with AI is not optional here. We expect you to use it, experiment with it, and build your own tools into your daily work. Success is not measured by how well you track the business. It is measured by how much better our functional leaders decide because of how you work with them.

What you'll do

Plan, model, forecast

• Own the operating model and run the rolling forecast off that model, updating the drivers as the business moves.

• Build the models and analyses that inform how we allocate resources, evaluate opportunities, and plan for growth.

• Translate leading indicators (pipeline coverage, win rates, sales cycles, usage trends) into forward-looking insight, not backward-looking reporting.

• Run unit economics and cohort analyses that surface what is actually driving the aggregate trends beneath the headline numbers.

• Evaluate marketing funnel performance, CAC, payback, and ROI by channel.

• Identify financial risks and opportunities early, and help structure decisions that balance investment against return.

• Define and track the financial KPIs that matter most for each function, aligned to the metrics the board and leadership care about.

• Support the company on ad hoc strategic work: investment cases, M&A screening, pricing strategy, and market sizing.

Partner across the company

• Be the connective tissue between Finance and the rest of the company. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Success to translate business activity into financial frameworks they can use.

• Build self-serve dashboards and decision-support tools that functional leaders run independently without needing FP&A in the room.

Partner with data and engineering to connect CRM, product, and financial data into coherent, reliable models and dashboards.

Bring AI into daily finance

• Build and maintain AI-assisted workflows for financial narratives, monthly reporting, variance analysis, scenario summaries, and ad hoc modeling, demonstrating what applied AI looks like in daily finance practice.

• Design repeatable prompt frameworks and AI-assisted templates that improve consistency and cut manual effort across the planning cycle.

It's important to us that you have

• Advanced financial modeling skills. you build clean, auditable models from scratch, and you have the judgment to know when to build versus when to automate.

• Direct experience with AI tooling and FP&A systems. you have implemented AI tooling. and scalable FP&A systems to automate workflows and forecasting, not just used them.

• Fluency in SaaS and usage-based metrics: ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, and payback, and you understand recurring and usage-based revenue dynamics and how GTM investment connects to revenue outcomes.

• Comfort with cost-side modeling: you understand how compute, headcount, and infrastructure costs behave.

• Direct experience supporting Sales and Marketing: you have built models and frameworks for revenue teams and know how the funnel actually works.

• Time in the seat: at a B2B SaaS or high-growth technology company, ideally with an investment banking, private equity, or FP&A background.

• A builder's track record: you have helped build systems and workflows, not just inherited and maintained them.

• An effective communicator: you can explain model assumptions to non-finance stakeholders and make them care.

• Detail-oriented and intellectually curious: the instinct to challenge your own numbers as hard as anyone else's.

What this is not

This is not a heads-down modeling seat where you build decks and wait for questions. It is not for someone who guards a forecast instead of pressure-testing it, who would rather be right about a number than help the business make the right call. And it is not for someone who is open to AI but not yet using it.

It is also not a clock-in, clock-out job. This role rewards the person whose curiosity stays on, who keeps turning over the number that does not add up until it does. We need a builder who connects the numbers to the decisions, teaches the rest of the company to do the same, and is measured on the decisions that change, not the reports that ship.
