Fire Protection Engineer / Senior Fire Protection Engineer

We’re growing our Brisbane Building Services team and are looking for a Fire Protection Engineer (Engineer or Senior level) to join a collaborative, high-performing group delivering complex and high-profile projects across Australia.
You’ll work alongside Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic specialists to deliver fully integrated building services solutions across commercial, healthcare, defence, education and critical infrastructure projects.
What you’ll be doing
• Design and deliver fire protection systems in line with NCC and relevant Australian Standards
• Work across wet and dry fire including sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, detection and alarm systems
• Collaborate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to coordinate integrated design outcomes
• Contribute from concept design through to construction and commissioning phases
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation
• Attend site visits, support construction delivery and resolve design challenges
For Senior Engineers:
• Act as a key technical lead on projects
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability
• Engage directly with clients and support project delivery outcomes
About you
• Experience in fire protection engineering within a building services consultancy
• Strong understanding of NCC and Australian Standards (AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 1670 etc.)
• Experience designing fire systems across building projects (commercial, healthcare, infrastructure or similar)
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Degree qualified in Engineering (or relevant discipline)
For senior level:
• Proven experience leading projects and mentoring others
• Confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders
