Firmware Architect - Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems

As a Wireless Firmware Architect you will focus on defining technical direction, conducting research and analysis, and providing architectural guidance for Apple's Bluetooth embedded solutions. The position emphasizes wireless protocol design and simulations, software architecture definition, technical planning, proof-of-concept development and performance optimizations. Minimum Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Wireless Systems: 8+ years of experience in wireless communication systems design, with deep understanding of multiple wireless standards (WiFi, Cellular, Bluetooth, Zigbee, etc.) Software Architecture: Proven track record of architecting large-scale, complex software systems with emphasis on real-time and embedded systems Protocol Development: Extensive experience with wireless protocol design, implementation, and optimization System Integration: Expert knowledge of hardware-software co-design and system-level optimization techniques Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in C/C++, Python, and system-level programming languages Performance Engineering: Experience with real-time systems, multi-threading, and performance optimization techniques Architectural Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead architectural decisions and influence technical direction across multiple teams Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences Self-Motivated: Exceptional ability to work independently and drive initiatives Systems Thinking: Ability to see the big picture while understanding intricate technical details Preferred Qualifications Master's degree (MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Ph.D. in relevant field is advantageous
