As a Fitness Coordinator, you will be provide personal training sessions and individualized wellness support and help facilitate group fitness opportunities for residents. We are looking for someone with strong personal training experience who enjoys building relationships, adapting to resident needs, and creating a positive and encouraging environment. While group fitness experience is helpful, we are willing to train the right person to become comfortable leading group classes.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide one-on-one personal training sessions tailored to resident goals, abilities, and wellness needs
  • Develop meaningful relationships with residents while encouraging healthy lifestyles and ongoing participation
  • Lead and facilitate group fitness classes for approximately 10–15 residents (training provided)
  • Create safe, engaging, and supportive wellness experiences for residents of varying abilities
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate fitness programming focused on strength, balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular health
  • Build positive relationships with residents, encouraging participation and consistency
  • Adapt quickly to schedule changes, room changes, and evolving business needs while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Communicate program updates and location changes clearly with residents
  • Assist with room setup, breakdown, and event support as part of the Community Life team
  • Collaborate with teammates to support resident engagement activities and community events
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness and pool environment
  • Document attendance and report any concerns related to resident safety or participation

What You Will Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of personal training experience required
  • Personal training certification preferred
  • Yoga experience desired but not required
  • Group fitness experience preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Patience, kindness, and the ability to work with older adults of varying fitness levels
  • Flexibility and comfort working in an environment where schedules and locations may shift
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to think on your feet
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging class environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with residents, families, and staff. Must use sound judgment, works well under pressure and possesses strong organizational skills.
