Fitness Specialist (CYS) NF-03

This position is located at Youth Sports and Fitness, Camp Humphreys, South Korea. Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Responsible for the delivery of a wide range of installation youth fitness, health, and outreach programs in multiple CYS settings. Develops and maintains and partnerships with schools and community organizations.

Within an existing curriculum, develops and implements lesson plans and appropriate environments that incorporate a broad range of fitness and health activities for early childhood, school age, and youth program participants.

Assists in training coaches using the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) guidelines. Provides assistance in planning practices to warm up/cool down techniques, injury prevention, proper use of materials and equipment.

Shares expertise in the operation of age-appropriate exercises and skills development for children and youth.

Helps inspect facilities/programs to ensure compliance with applicable standards and makes recommendations for improvements. Secures supplies, equipment, and facilities as appropriate.
