Salary\: £46,350 + Depending on experience
Referral Bonus\: £2000

Job Description\:
As a Flight Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development and support of aircraft systems including landing gear, fuel systems, electrical power generation, environmental control systems, flight controls and propulsion integration. Working across the engineering lifecycle, from requirements capture and design through to build-line and in-service support, you will gain exposure to a broad range of engineering activities while developing specialist technical expertise in Flight Systems within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
Core duties\:
- Support the delivery of engineering activities across the full product lifecycle, including requirements development, system and equipment design, modelling and analysis, testing, integration, qualification and certification.
- Contribute to the development and support of aircraft flight systems across mechanical, electrical and fluid disciplines.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers, investigating and resolving engineering issues to ensure effective system performance.
- Support manufacturing and build-line activities, identifying and resolving technical challenges as they arise.
- Produce and maintain Flight Systems engineering documentation and technical data in accordance with project requirements, standards and procedures.
- Utilise engineering analysis and modelling tools to assess system performance and support design and development activities.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders to develop and implement engineering solutions.
- Support multiple projects and aircraft platforms, ensuring delivery of work packages to agreed quality, cost and schedule requirements.
Essential Skills\:
- HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent qualification and/or experience in a relevant STEM discipline, such as Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related scientific field.
- Experience working within the aerospace industry or a similarly complex engineering or technology-focused environment.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to research, interpret and apply system design data to engineering challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and utilise specialist engineering tools and software.
- Experience supporting the design, development, analysis, integration or support of complex engineering systems.
- Understanding of engineering lifecycles and systems engineering principles.

Join our Flight Systems Engineering team based in Filton, supporting the development and sustainment of some of the world's most advanced military aircraft platforms. Working across programmes including Typhoon, Tornado, Hawk and F-35, the team delivers specialist engineering expertise across a wide range of mechanical, electrical and fluid systems, playing a critical role in maintaining and enhancing aircraft capability throughout their lifecycle.
