For more information, visit www.pepsico.com. Responsibilities Job Overview: To ensure the safe, efficient and timely movement of raw materials, bins and finished goods within the inbound intake area. The role supports uninterrupted production by supplying raw materials on time, executing safe loading/offloading of trucks and maintaining correct bin stacking in accordance with site safety, food safety and operational standards. Intake Conduct daily pre‑operation inspections of the forklift and immediately report non‑conformances. Safely operate the forklift to offload raw material trucks and inbound product during intake season. Transport and supply raw materials to production lines according to the production schedule. Offload and load empty bins to/from depots and ensure correct and safe stacking. Manage the flow of bins arriving from production over the rail and stack them in the designated areas. Identify, remove and report damaged bins. Maintain cleanliness of the forklift and immediate working area (including weekly deep clean of the forklift). Ensure raw materials are placed in correct fumigation rooms and stored according to food safety requirements. Communicate daily with supervisors regarding stock levels, storage locations and material availability. Prioritise and plan own work to minimise machine downtime and support OEE performance. Additional tasks: Planning: The Forklift Driver draws up his/her own plan based on information provided by Production Supervisors of both departments. The machine’s downtime is measured by Overall Efficiency Effectiveness (OEE) system. The Forklift Driver can influence the OEE of the machines when he fails to supply raw material on time. The Forklift Driver plan and prioritise the machine supplies as per the production plan. Qualifications Grade 12 (NQF 4) or equivalent. Valid Forklift Licence (compulsory). Medically fit to work in a manufacturing environment.
