Founding CAD & Visualization Engineer Intern
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 8 Weeks
- Type: Internship
About Graviron Aerospace
Graviron Aerospace is building reusable orbital vehicles designed for active debris removal, on-orbit inspection, satellite servicing, and future in-space industrial operations.
Our mission is to develop autonomous spacecraft capable of operating in Earth orbit, interacting with objects in space, and returning valuable assets, data, or materials through reusable mission architectures.
We are currently developing Orbit Keeper 01, an early vehicle concept focused on demonstrating autonomous orbital operations and reusable return capabilities.
About The Role
We are looking for a Founding CAD & Visualization Engineer Intern to help transform spacecraft concepts into professional 3D models, renders, animations, and technical visualizations.
This is not a traditional internship where you will spend your time observing from the sidelines. You will work directly with the founder to create the visual assets that help communicate Graviron's technology to investors, partners, future customers, and the broader aerospace community.
Your work may be featured on our website, investor presentations, technical materials, social media channels, and public announcements.
What You'll Do
- Create detailed 3D CAD models of spacecraft concepts and subsystems.
- Develop high-quality renders for website, investor, and marketing materials.
- Produce exploded views, cutaway diagrams, and technical visualizations.
- Create orbital mission concept graphics and spacecraft operation sequences.
- Collaborate directly with the founder on design iterations and visual development.
- Support the creation of future spacecraft concepts and mission visualizations.
Preferred Skills
We do not expect candidates to meet every requirement.
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Blender
- Fusion 360
- SolidWorks
- Onshape
- KeyShot
- Autodesk Inventor
- Other professional CAD or rendering tools
Bonus Points
- Aerospace or mechanical engineering background
- Spacecraft or aircraft modeling experience
- Animation and motion graphics experience
- Portfolio containing hard-surface or technical designs
What We're Looking For
- Strong visual design and CAD capabilities
- Ability to convert ideas, sketches, and concepts into professional models
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Passion for aerospace, space technology, robotics, or advanced engineering
What You'll Gain
- Direct collaboration with the founder of an aerospace startup
- Real-world experience working on spacecraft concepts
- Opportunity to build a unique aerospace portfolio
- Professional recommendation upon successful completion
- Exposure to deep-tech startup operations and product development
- Consideration for future contractor, contributor, or team opportunities based on performance
- Top-performing interns may be considered for future paid positions and core team opportunities at Graviron Aerospace as the company expands.
Important Information
This is an unpaid internship intended for students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience in CAD, visualization, and aerospace concept development.
All applicants must be willing to sign standard confidentiality and intellectual property agreements before receiving access to internal project materials.
If you're excited about helping visualize the next generation of orbital vehicles, we'd love to hear from you.
