Founding CTO (New Healthcare Startup)
About Us
Red Cell Partners is an incubation firm building and investing in rapidly scalable technology-led companies that are bringing revolutionary advancements to market in three distinct practice areas: healthcare, cyber, and national security. United by a shared sense of duty and deep belief in the power of innovation, Red Cell is developing powerful tools and solutions to address our Nation’s most pressing problems.
About MyPattern
MyPattern is a women's health intelligence platform that delivers personalized, longitudinal care across every life stage. We're building what the healthcare system has failed to provide: a comprehensive view of women's health that connects the dots between symptoms, lab results, lifestyle factors, and the hormonal shifts that influence everything from mood and energy to fertility and cognition.
The problem we're solving is systemic. Women's health concerns are routinely dismissed, fragmented across specialists, or reduced to one-size-fits-all solutions. The average woman with a complex health issue sees multiple doctors over years before getting answers—if she gets them at all. The healthcare system wasn't designed for the interconnected, evolving nature of women's bodies.
We integrate symptom tracking, lab testing, wearable data, and medical history into one AI-powered intelligence system that helps women see patterns their doctors miss, prepare for life stage transitions, optimize treatments, and advocate for themselves with data that can't be dismissed.
Our primary users are women navigating perimenopause, fertility challenges, postpartum recovery, and conditions like PCOS and autoimmune disorders—women who have been told "it's just stress" or "your labs are normal" without proper investigation. We're giving them the tools to take control of their health.
The Role
MyPattern's beta is live. Real users are in the product. Now we need the hands-on engineering leader who will take it from here.
As Founding CTO, you'll partner directly with our founder to scale and deepen the platform that's already in users' hands. This is a high-impact, founder-level role — you're not starting from zero, but you're shaping everything that comes next. You'll inherit and evolve a live codebase, accelerate feature development, and harden the infrastructure as we grow from beta into our full product launch.
Expect to wear many hats, move fast, and have significant influence over our product, team, and company as we scale. The technical decisions you make now will define MyPattern for years.
What You'll Do
Take Ownership of a Live Product
Inherit a working beta with real users and make it better — faster, more reliable, and more capable. You'll assess the existing architecture, close gaps, and build on a foundation that's already delivering value.
Architect the Health Intelligence Engine
Evolve and deepen the backend infrastructure, APIs, and data models that power personalized health insights. Design systems that synthesize lab results, wearable data, symptoms, and medical history into actionable intelligence at scale.
Develop and Extend Data Integration Pipelines
Build on and expand robust ETL pipelines ingesting data from diverse sources: lab providers (Quest, LabCorp), wearables (Oura, Apple Health, Whoop, Garmin), medical records, and user-entered data. Ensure data integrity, security, and HIPAA compliance.
Build AI-Powered Features
Implement and refine the conversational AI health check-ins, treatment recommendation engine, and predictive models that surface insights and guide users through their health journey. Work with Claude and other AI tools to accelerate development.
Own Security and Compliance
Build with HIPAA compliance as a first-class concern. Implement and maintain encryption, access controls, audit logging, and security best practices for handling sensitive health data.
Leverage AI-Native Development Tools
Use Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and other AI-assisted development tools to accelerate building. Embrace vibe coding and rapid prototyping to move quickly from concept to working product.
Technical Leadership
As we scale, mentor and guide additional engineers. Help establish engineering culture, practices, and standards. This role has a clear path to engineering leadership.
