Founding Engineer

About the Role

We're a small, fast-moving team building an agentic integration platform for the physical economy — helping supply chain businesses connect their ERP, WMS, OMS, TMS, EDI, and logistics systems in hours instead of months. Our AI-generated integration platform is already serving paying enterprise customers, and we're now bringing on our first engineering hire.

This is a true founding engineer role: you'll own core systems end-to-end, set the technical patterns every future hire builds on, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders to ship reliable, production-grade software every day.

What You'll Do

  • Own the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime end-to-end.

  • Establish engineering patterns, conventions, and architecture decisions that will define how the team operates as it scales.

  • Partner directly with the founders — your technical opinion matters as much as your code.

  • Ship to production constantly, building observable, reliable, and resilient distributed systems.

  • Drive end-to-end feature development across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with measurable customer impact.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience in fast-paced environments; startup experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend, and Node.js for backend.

  • Demonstrated ability to build something 0 to 1 — whether at an early-stage startup or through serious side projects.

  • Experience integrating or building workflows around large language models (LLMs) and agent-based platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS (cloud infrastructure) and PostgreSQL (data storage).

  • Experience with observability, monitoring, tracing, and reliable retry/queuing patterns in distributed systems.

  • Track record of owning features across the full stack — frontend, backend, and infra — with measurable customer outcomes.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Bun, Effect-TS, or Kubernetes.

  • Background in supply chain, logistics, or enterprise SaaS integrations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually (depending on experience)

  • Equity participation as a founding team member

  • Visa sponsorship available

Location

  • On-site in San Francisco, CA

  • This is an in-person role — we work together closely as a small team
