We are looking for a Receptionist for our iconic Madrid Marriott Hotel Princesa Plaza, a property currently undergoing a full repositioning, located in the heart of Madrid. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of combining hospitality, operational efficiency, and excellence in customer relations.
Mission of the Role
To deliver an exceptional experience to every guest by ensuring a professional, agile, and personalized service from arrival to departure. This position is key to the hotel's daily operations, acting as the primary brand ambassador, managing occupancy, room sales, billing, and payment processes, as well as resolving incidents and special requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Registration & Check-In: Perform guest registration and check-in processes, ensuring a seamless and fluid experience upon arrival.
- Guest Relations: Provide personalized attention to guest needs and requests throughout their stay.
- Communication Management: Efficiently manage internal and external telephone calls, as well as hotel correspondence.
- Service Coordination: Coordinate additional services, including guest transportation and parking control.
- Safety & Emergency Response: Handle emergency situations and monitor security systems via the fire and alarm switchboard.
- Night Audit & Systems: Execute night audits and system backups during the night shift.
- Check-Out & Billing: Assist guests with the check-out process, ensuring accurate account settlement and billing.
- Concierge Services: Provide detailed information regarding hotel services, local events, and cultural activities available to guests.
- Shift Handover & Reporting: Log incidents and communicate major events via the shift logbook, with a specific focus on night shift occurrences.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Vocational Training (Grado Superior) in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related fields.
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in similar roles within 4-star or 5-star hotels.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hands-on experience with Opera PMS (Mandatory).
Languages: Bilingual Spanish and Professional Working Proficiency in English.
Core Competencies: Strong customer and results orientation.
Soft Skills: Teamwork, effective communication, emotional intelligence, attention to detail, stress management, and multitasking capabilities.
Availability: Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
Preferred: Prior experience within the Marriott International portfolio is highly valued.
