Position: Front End Developer

Job Location: Ft. Worth, TX 76155

Duration:7+ Months Contract (possibility of conversion into full time)

Job Description:

This Front-end Developer (FED) will be responsible for making AAVACATIONS.com compliant with web accessibility standards. This person will work closely with business owners, product owners, business analysts, project managers, UX leadership and graphic designers, developers and tech leads. This person will work effectively using the Agile project methodology. It is essential to have a flexible attitude and excellent communication skills.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Produce and deliver final assets using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (jQuery, jQueryUI, etc.).

Produce technical solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables such as screen layouts, user interface elements, and prototypes

Translate usability and field research findings into design/function improvements

Collaborate with AA.com User Experience, Interactive Marketing and Publishing teams to develop cross-product solutions

Document front-end technology standards and procedures

Skill Set Required:

Mastery of HTML5 and CSS3 and object oriented JavaScript coding

Mastery of responsive and adaptive web development techniques

Mastery of cross-browser compatibility concerns

Proficiency with jQuery, jQueryUI, jQuery Plugins or similar JavaScript libraries

Proficiency in creating accessible solutions conforming to WGAC 2.0 Level AA guidelines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

Skill Set Preferred:

Proficiency with responsive frameworks such as Foundation and Bootstrap

Education/Experience:

5+ years experience required

Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent experience required
