Front End Supervisor - PT

The Front-End Supervisor oversees daily activities of front-end operations in the grocery store. Responsible for supervising cashier staff, ensuring efficient checkout processes, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Supervision of Checkout Operations

  • Oversees cashier activities to ensure efficient and accurate transactions.
  • Monitors checkout lines to minimize wait times and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and resolves issues promptly.
  • Works with Front End Manager to ensure appropriate staffing of checkout lanes.
  • Trains new cashiers on checkout procedures, customer service standards, and product knowledge.
  • In collaboration with the Front-End Manager, addresses disciplinary issues or performance concerns according to company policies.
  • Ensures front end staff receive breaks.

Cash Handling and Security

  • Works with Front End Manager in managing cash registers, including opening and closing procedures, balancing drawers, and performing cash drops.
  • Enforces cash handling policies and security measures to prevent theft or fraud.
  • Conducts regular cash audits and reconciles discrepancies.

Customer Service

  • Greets customers and provides assistance as needed.
  • Resolves customer complaints or escalates issues to the Front-End Manager or Store Leadership as necessary.
  • Ensures a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensures safety protocols and sanitation standards are being follows.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, including food safety guidelines.
