Front / Middle Office Business Analyst / Project Manager

Jefferies Financial Group Inc. (‘‘Jefferies,’’ ‘‘we,’’ ‘‘us’’ or ‘‘our’’) is a U.S.-headquartered global full service, integrated investment banking and securities firm. Jefferies is entering into a Joint Venture with SMBC Nikko for go live in January 2027 that will merge the Japanese equities business of the two firms into the third largest broker dealer in Japan.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with Front and Middle office system business and technology owners to take existing Nikko pure domestic client allocation workflows and domestic domiciled Japanese client hybrid allocation workflows and incorporate them into the Jefferies trading and allocating systems that will be used by the joint venture entity
  2. Knowledge of contents of preconfirmation reports required by pure domestic and Japan domiciled hybrid clients.
  3. Running large global programs with senior management, front office, operations, technology and compliance participants requiring detailed interaction with technical staff and senior business management to keep project on track
  4. Drafting requirements documents for business, compliance, risk, technology, operations stakeholder groups approvals that are then used by technology to draft technical requirements
  5. Working with QA staff to direct testing of new functionality
  6. Supporting products after go live

Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of non-average price allocation and Hitokuchi allocation workflows for Japanese Equities traded on Tokyo Stock Exchanges, Proprietary Trading Systems (PTSs) and Dark Pools (DPs) and Futures and Options on underlying JPY equities that are traded on Osaka Stock Exchange
  2. Knowledge of Careful Discretion, Program Trading, Direct Strategy Access (DSA), and Direct Market Access (DSA) trading and allocation workflows.
  3. Experience onboarding new sophisticated pure domestic and domestic hybrid clients with complete allocation workflows onto a large Japanese broker dealer
  4. Fluency in writing and speaking in either Japanese or English and at least a very strong business capacity in the non-native language, with full written and spoken fluency in both languages preferred.
  5. Good PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, Excel and Jira skills
  6. Fidessa Japan Trading Platform (JTP) and ULLINK FIX Engine exposure a strong plus
