Responsibilities What we’re looking for: As a Frontline Recruiter in South Africa, you will be responsible for managing high-volume recruitment for frontline roles across Supply Chain, Commercial and Enabling functions. You will partner with hiring managers and HR teams to ensure recruitment practices align with South African labor laws, employment equity goals, and organizational values. This role requires a strong understanding of local compliance, inclusive hiring, and community-based sourcing strategies. Recruitment Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement Conduct recruitment planning meetings with hiring managers to define job requirements and timelines. Provide insights on local labor market trends, salary benchmarks, and Employment Equity (EE) targets. Advise on fair and inclusive hiring practices in line with the Employment Equity Act and Labour Relations Act. Ensure recruitment aligns with workforce planning and transformation objectives, including BBBEE compliance. Talent Sourcing & Attraction Develop sourcing strategies using local job boards, social media, community outreach, and employee referrals. Build talent pipelines for recurring roles to reduce time-to-fill. Promote the employer brand through culturally relevant messaging and inclusive job adverts. Ensure job postings are compliant with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) Recruitment Process Management Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from requisition to onboarding, ensuring compliance with local labor laws. Manages the recruitment lifecycle and processes aligned with the Global TA processes Conduct structured interviews using behavioral and competency-based techniques. Facilitate hiring panel debriefs and ensure fair, documented decision-making. Partner with HR and Total Rewards to extend offers and negotiate within legal and internal compensation frameworks. Compliance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, EE representation, candidate satisfaction). Ensure all hiring practices comply with the BCEA, Employment Equity Act, and Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Maintain accurate records in the ATS and ensure data privacy. Ensure alignment with the Global TA processes and reporting at PepsiCo Stay informed on South African labor law updates and recruitment best practices. High-Volume Hiring Execution Manage multiple requisitions with short lead times. Use bulk processing tools and AI screening where appropriate. Attend job fairs, host community hiring events, and partner with local organizations to attract talent. Collaborate with operations and HR to ensure smooth onboarding and workforce integration. Qualifications What will qualify you for the role: 5+ years of experience in high-volume or frontline recruitment in South Africa. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field. Knowledge of South African labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE Act). Experience with ATS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Fluency in English; additional South African languages are advantageous. Experience recruiting in a unionized environment. Familiarity with BBBEE and Employment Equity reporting. Exposure to multinational or shared services environments.
