Fuel Station Supervisor

Position Summary

The Fuel Station Manager/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all fuel station operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service. This role leads fuel station associates, maintains fuel and merchandise availability, ensures regulatory compliance, and delivers a safe and positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Fuel Station Operations

  • Oversee daily fuel station activities, including fuel sales, kiosk/store operations, and lot maintenance
  • Ensure fuel pumps, payment systems, and equipment are operational and properly maintained
  • Monitor fuel inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to prevent outages
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise, train, and support fuel station associates
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure proper coverage for all shifts
  • Reinforce customer service, safety, and operational standards
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance accountability

Customer Service

  • Deliver fast, friendly, and efficient service to all customers
  • Assist with customer concerns, payment issues, and pump troubleshooting
  • Ensure a safe, well-lit, and welcoming fuel station environment

Merchandising & Sales

  • Maintain in-stock conditions for all convenience items, beverages, and automotive products
  • Ensure accurate pricing, signage, and promotional execution
  • Identify opportunities to drive add-on sales within kiosk/store area

Inventory & Cash Control

  • Manage fuel and merchandise inventory, including monitoring shrink and variances
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, register procedures, and daily reconciliations
  • Maintain proper documentation for fuel deliveries and sales

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Enforce all safety standards related to fuel handling, spills, and hazardous materials
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fuel regulations
  • Maintain required certifications, logs, and inspection records
  • Respond quickly to spills, emergencies, or equipment malfunctions
Qualifications
  • Previous retail, fuel station, or convenience store experience preferred
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of fuel operations, safety, and compliance standards is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
