Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer

Location: Beltsville, MD

Duration: 6-8 month contract to hire.

Interview Process: 1st round phone; followed by REQUIRED IN PERSON

Citizenship: US Citizen ONLY

Hourly Rate: $45-50/hour MAX based on experience

Conversion Salary: 95-115k MAX based on experience

Nice To Have (not required): Embedded C/C++ Development, Angular 2, any RF background.

Full Stack Java Developer

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

Designs, develops, and implements Java backend applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Incumbents act as internal consultants, providing technical guidance or business process expertise on the most complex projects or researching strategic planning matters from a technical or business standpoint. This position will identify causes and implement solutions to business problems in a multifunctional project, assessing and communicating issues of technology impact on the business.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

· Provide technical expertise within an assigned business unit/area in the analysis, design, and development of business applications.

· Accountable for major development responsibilities of large/complex projects or across multiple, nearly simultaneous smaller projects.

· Provide technical consulting support on projects or system issues.

· Evaluate application software packages and make recommendations to management.

· Identify conflicting business practices and integration issues, suggesting alternative solutions.

· Participate in business and IT project estimation activities, from the position of being a subject matter expert.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge

o Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on development experience leveraging solid software development techniques

o Working knowledge in technical leadership of development remote teams

o Current knowledge in systems development of computing architectures and environments; knowledge or relevant technology, tools, and middleware is critical.

o Strong in both breadth and depth of experience with multiple programming languages and development techniques.

o Capable of complex project work while balancing application support responsibilities.

o Strong ability to accurately estimate project development activities.

Technical/Skills

· Critical Required -Object Oriented Modeling

· Critical Required - JNI ( java Native Interface ) Development

· Critical Required - Java Development

· Critical Require – JQuery

· Critical Required – Web Services/REST/JSON-RPC

· Critical Required – HTML5/CSS

· Required – Visualization experience in plugin like Highcharts/D3

· Highly Preferred – RF Test and Measurement or related industry experience

· Preferred - C++ Development

· Preferred – Geographical Information Systems ( GIS )Development - ( Google API experience )

· Preferred – Data Base Design and Development

· Preferred - User Experience Development

· Preferred - UI/UX Design Experience ( User Interface ( UI ) User Experience ( UX ))

· Preferred - Steaming or Batch processing/mediation/ETL

· Preferred - SQL development ( Datastax Spark and Cassandra is the data base environment in addition to MYSQL)

Additional Required-

· Must be Senior level and good communicator

· Proven ability to delegate work and work in a team

· Code Review experience with strong working knowledge of methodologies

· Strong Written skills and proven ability to document code, requirements, architecture
