Full Time Lecturer (Radiography)

Teaching & Preparation

  • Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials/workshops and laboratory sessions to certificate, diploma and undergraduate students (including overseas, if required).

  • Monitor student progress through the application of assessment strategies that support appropriate feedback and skills development.

  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property for the School.

  • Liaise with industry on clinical placements

Exam QA & Moderation

  • Administer the setting and marking of coursework and examination.

  • Review and ensure the quality of examination papers under area(s) of specialization.

  • Conduct objective assessments on examination appeal cases in the area of sports science.

Lecturer Management

  • Assist in the management and development of Diagnostic Radiography academics.

  • Review assignment of proposed Diagnostic Radiography teaching assignments.

  • Conduct classroom observation as required

Student Management

  • Engage in student development by providing strong learning support and monitoring of students’ academic performance in life science.

  • Advise students with respect to academic performance, career opportunities and the pursuit of advanced studies in the area of Diagnostic Radiography.

  • Manage students’ clinical placements in the industry.

Curriculum Management & Development

  • Contribute to the review, design and development of Diagnostic Radiography programmes and modules to ensure continued relevance and quality improvement of curricula.

  • Programme/ Module leader for Diagnostic Radiography courses.

  • Develop course materials for new modules as required.

  • Prepare course/ module review reports of internal and external Diagnostic Radiography programmes.

  • New programme development preliminary module mapping tasks.

External Partners Liaison

  • Assist in liaising with university course coordinators on academic matters related to Diagnostic Radiography courses where necessary.

  • Attend visits by programme partners and academics in Diagnostic Radiography.

Learning & Development

  • Contribute to departmental, faculty, or institution- -wide working groups or committees as requested.

  • Maintain own continuing professional development, in addition to training and development provided by the institution.

General

  • Other administrative duties/projects as assigned by Reporting Officer.

Requirements

  • Master in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent. (At least a pass at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent in the language medium of the programme/module.)

  • 3 years of teaching experience at diploma level or above

  • 5 years of working experience in related industry

  • Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills.

  • Strong oral and writing skills

  • Due to the use of externally booked lab facilities and open house, working hours may include late afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Flexibility is required to accommodate lab availability.
