About the Role
Our new Functional Owner is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the features inside the assigned domain. You will be a key stakeholder in the project by coordinating all the required effort for the features definition, development, and testing, and by acting as the single point of contact for your domain.
What You Will Do
Define, plan, and monitor all the activities related to the assigned domain, in alignment with the overall project scope and timeline
Collaborate with your customer counter-part to clarify the requirements and translate them into technical requirements for the development team
Partner with the software project lead to align on the project timelines and priorities, and to report the status of domain features against the plan
Support the system and software architects during the architecture definition
Coordinate with the other domain functional owners to identify interfaces and dependencies
Lead the software development team to ensure the features are implemented and validated according to defined technical requirements
Work with the test manager to ensure the features are properly tested, and the reported issues are addressed
Ensure adherence to both Harman and customer processes, standards, and quality requirements.
What You Need to Be Successful
University degree (MSc/BSc)
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in SW development (OOA, OOD, OOP)
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in automotive embedded software development, with relevant involvement in requirements management, architecture definition, development, and testing
Experience working in a matrix-based organization
Experience with ALM and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) tools
Analytical and systems thinking abilities
Communication and technical presentation skills
Self-driven, autonomous, and structured way of working.
Good English language skills
Bonus Points if You Have
Knowledge of Automotive Connectivity/Telematics systems.
Experience in external customer-facing roles
Good understanding and working skills in C/C++, Linux, and SW architecture
Good understanding of Automotive quality standards (e.g., ASPICE)
Experience with working within an agile development framework (e.g., SAFe)

Willingness to travel up to 25%
Willingness to work in a hybrid model, 3 days per week from our Bucharest office
