BUSINESS SEGMENT AND ROLE OVERVIEW

Equities & FICC: We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.

The Equity Structured Sales MENA desk in Dubai is looking for an Associate to join the team with a particular focus on MENA clients. The group works with a variety of institutional clients (e.g. asset managers, banks) and third-party distributors (e.g. private banks, broker-dealers, and registered investment advisors) to distribute Global Banking & Markets [Public] products. These products include OTC Derivatives, Structured Notes, Listed and OTC Equity Options that enable clients to achieve their investment goals. Salespeople are responsible for selling Global Markets products, pricing and executing innovative derivative transactions and developing trade ideas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting senior sales staff in building relationships with institutional clients & providing best-in class structured solutions on global equities, commodities and fixed income.

  • Liaising with trading, structuring and origination teams to support pre-trade and post-trade execution processes

  • Liaising with our research team to provide high calibre information to our clients and address specific client requests.

  • Involved in database management and client administration

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong understanding in Structured Products and Equity Flow Derivatives

  • This role requires a highly motivated candidate who displays a passion for the markets, can manage multiple tasks in an efficient and accurate manner while working in an international fast-moving environment

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial services

  • Strong interest in global financial markets & derivative instruments

  • Quantitative, with client service orientation and strong attention to detail

  • Resourcefulness and creativity in addressing new commercial opportunities

  • Proficient in using spreadsheets and preparing presentation material/pitch books

  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
