Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme), together with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and realization of a new generation aerial system, defined as a “system of systems”. Employed for multi-domain operations in the defense sector, the system will be characterized by a “core platform” connected with other peripheral “adjuncts” systems, manned and unmanned.
The program, one of the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will guide the technological revolution that will characterize the sector over the next fifty years. A challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, because it aims to identify and make available those innovative technologies, called enabling technologies, that will ensure the generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, for the benefit of new generations.
The resources that will work within this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context.
The person will be responsible for the following activities:
* Design and implementation of infrastructures on MS Azure Cloud and private Clouds (VMware, Openstackm, Proxmox);
* Support the design of complex architectures to meet customer requirements with particular attention to security aspects (Integrity, availability and confidentiality), effectiveness and efficiency of the designed solutions;
* Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and constraints;
* Ensure the progress of activities in terms of performance/times/budget;
* Guarantee the correct management of contractual changes, where necessary, by submitting notices to the client;
* Guarantee risk management;
* Guarantee the quality of deliverables;
* Coordinate the execution of testing and acceptance of goods/services subject to the supply by the Client;
* Coordinate the resources involved in the project team, defining their objectives and planning their activities for the creation of goods/services;
* Manage the relationship with the Client, representing the main interface for the specific project;
* Guarantee the application of corporate planning, reporting, risk management methodologies and procedures; in addition to ensuring the application of IPT (Integrated Project Team) methodologies and tools.
Educational Qualification:
Degree in Engineering or STEM disciplines
Seniority:
Senior with at least 5 years of experience in managing complex and international projects
Technical/IT knowledge and skills:
* Required experience of at least 5 years in design on Cloud environments (e.g.: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and AWS);
* Knowledge of container orchestration solutions, Kubernetes (preferably Openshift or Tanzu) and/or Docker Swarm or others;
* Experience in designing Identity Management architectures;
* Experience as a DBA on Enterprise Database solutions, relational and non-relational (e.g. MongoDB) is a plus;
* Experience in designing architectures in HA, BC and/or DR scenarios is a plus;
* Knowledge of Storage and Backup solutions;
* Familiarity with DevOps and IaC environments;
* Professional knowledge of major Microsoft packages including MS-Project;
