GCP Senior Devops Engineer
We are looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in platform engineering and DevSecOps. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building tools and automation to deploy, support, and troubleshoot distributed applications within Ford’s GCP environment. You will manage the "big picture" of how the GCP stack (including GCE, GCS, Cloud Run, and Apigee) relates to Ford’s internal architectures, using a breadth of tools to minimize operational toil. You will translate complex business objectives into clear technology strategies and execution roadmaps, ensuring that security, scalability, and performance are at the forefront of every solution.
10+ years of overall experience across infrastructure, platform engineering, automation, and DevSecOps.
Demonstrating deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with GCP services, specifically GCE, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Run deployments, Batch, Cloud Scheduler, Pub/Sub, GCS, STS, and various other Google Cloud offerings.
Delivering end-to-end ownership and 24/7 support for multiple GCP services.
Translating complex business objectives into clear technology strategies, roadmaps, and successful execution plans.
Understanding and hands-on experience with Red Hat Developer Hub, including React framework development and deployment.
Utilizing hands-on coding experience and cloud engineering to drive deep into technical challenges and guide architectural decisions.
Leading hands-on Terraform infrastructure deployment and managing Tekton PAC pipelines for image building and setup.
Managing hands-on Python API development and deployment across GCP, and OpenShift platforms.
Ensuring high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) for all GCP services using SRE principles and Dynatrace.
Leading and managing GCE backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) services to ensure business continuity.
Understanding and managing development and deployment within the Red Hat Developer Hub utilizing the React framework.
Overseeing and Executing hands-on patching cycles and maintaining continuous security compliance across the cloud estate.
Driving cost optimization initiatives and self-service capabilities to improve the developer experience.
10+ years of total experience in the IT and IT Operations industry.
Deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with GCP services, specifically GCE, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Run deployments, Batch, Cloud Scheduler, Pub/Sub, GCS, STS, and various other Google Cloud offerings.
Hands-on experience on other key GCP services including Cloud Tasks, Cloud Run deployments, Cloud Scheduler, and Pub/Sub.
Deep understanding of GCP project provisioning and managing IAM roles and role bindings.
Hands-on experience with Terraform infrastructure deployment.
Understanding and hands-on experience with Red Hat Developer Hub, including React framework development and deployment.
Hands-on experience with OpenShift application deployments, including ArgoCD implementation.
Experience in cost optimization strategies and implementations for infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Tekton PAC pipelines, image building, and pipeline setup.
At least 3+ years of experience in a Senior DevOps Engineer role (or equivalent technical leadership) in infrastructure, platform engineering, automation, and DevSecOps.
Extensive experience in translating complex business objectives into clear technology strategies, roadmaps, and successful execution plans with strong communication skills.
Hands-on coding experience and cloud engineering with the ability to drive deep into technical challenges and guide architectural decisions.
Deep understanding on operative levels including Windows and all Linux flavors
Hands-on experience on Python API development and deploying in GCP /OpenShift or any platform.
Knowledge of the "Go" (Golang) language is a significant added advantage.
Experience in customer handling skills and providing architectural ideas to end users/customers.
B.E / B.Tech. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
