Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Outlet Operations

  • Provide friendly and engaging customer service.
  • Take customer orders accurately and process payments.
  • Scoop and serve gelato according to company standards.
  • Recommend and upsell menu items where appropriate.
  • Assist with outlet opening, closing, and daily operational duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for customers.

Gelato Production & FoodPreparation

  • Prepare and produce gelato according to standard recipes and procedures.
  • Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Operate gelato production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Support packing, replenishment, and stock transfers when required.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.

Inventory & Housekeeping

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
  • Receive and check deliveries from suppliers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across all work areas.
  • Follow FIFO procedures and proper storage practices.
  • Assist in stock takes and outlet inventory counts.

Team Support

  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Support both front-of-house and back-of-house duties as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by the Outlet Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and working as part of a team.
  • Willing to learn both service and food production skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and comfortable standing for long periods.
  • Responsible and attentive to cleanliness and food hygiene standards.
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when needed.
