Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Lead the preparation and delivery of management, performance, and analytical financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis beyond statutory requirements to support business decisions.
Analyze financial results, including ratios, trends, working capital, and balance sheet performance.
Deliver insightful commentary on variances against plans and forecasts.
Accounting Oversight & Compliance
Oversee compliance with group accounting policies and reporting guidelines across assigned countries.
Ensure proper accounting treatment for fixed assets, tax, intercompany transactions, debtors, and creditors.
Review and sign off on reconciliations including balance sheet, intercompany, statutory, and management accounts.
Ensure financial controls are implemented and adhered to across all processes.
Month-End & Statutory Processes
Ensure timely and accurate completion of:
Month-end accounting entries (tax, bank, intercompany)
Intercompany reconciliations and charges
Fixed asset reporting
Banking reconciliations
Income tax and FBT returns
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Budgeting & Business Partnering
Partner with the leadership team to develop and manage the annual budget.
Collaborate with business units on financial and administrative matters.
Provide financial support in risk management initiatives.
Process Improvement & Systems
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.
Lead OneStream balance sheet reconciliation process improvements across countries.
Maintain system security and centralized financial controls.
Oversee distribution, consolidation, and review of management packs and additional disclosure packs.
Team Leadership & Talent Management
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team, including offshore staff.
Ensure team members are trained, competent, and aligned with organizational goals.
Oversee recruitment, selection, and retention of finance team members.
Conduct performance management and provide ongoing coaching and development.
Foster a culture of professionalism, compliance, and excellence aligned with company values.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA or equivalent preferred).
7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Experience working in a multi-country or regional environment is highly desirable.
Proven experience managing month-end close, audits, and financial controls.
Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., OneStream or similar consolidation tools) is an advantage.
