About Our General Assurance Practice

Our General Assurance Practice works with organisations to navigate regulatory complexities by improving their corporate reporting and supporting their compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual agreements. Our clients include leading companies listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX), MNCs, and emerging companies in Singapore. As part of the firm's largest line of service, you'll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment — working across industries, engaging with every aspect of our clients' activities, and offering insightful audit advice that adds real value.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accountancy Associate, your day-to-day work will include:

  • Performing audit fieldwork and testing of internal controls across a portfolio of clients, using PwC's innovative global audit methodology

  • Preparing audit working papers and documentation to support audit conclusions

  • Assisting in the review of financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards (e.g., SFRS, IFRS, SSA)

  • Liaising with client finance teams to obtain information, resolve queries, and understand business processes

  • Supporting senior associates, managers, and partners throughout the engagement lifecycle — from planning through to reporting

  • Delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions across financial control, regulatory reporting, and technology-related audit issues

What We're Looking For

We're looking for individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and make an impact. You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Final-year undergraduate or postgraduate from any discipline from a local/overseas university

  • A strong academic foundation, with consistency in performance rather than perfection

  • Active involvement in co-curricular activities, leadership roles, internships, or community initiatives

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently with diverse teams

  • A positive, proactive mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, client-driven environment

  • A strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and willingness to learn

  • The drive to grow professionally and build a long-term career in audit and assurance

We welcome candidates from varied backgrounds who are passionate about accounting and eager to develop their skills with PwC.

Your Growth With Us — A Head Start in Your Accounting Career

We believe in investing in your success from day one. When you join us, you'll embark on a fully-sponsored 3-month intensive training programme (typically running from July to October) — purpose-built to prepare you for the Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualification Foundation Programme and fast-track your journey into the accounting profession.

Here's what makes it a standout opportunity:

  • Fully-funded professional education — You'll be enrolled in a structured academic programme delivered by a leading appointed institution, equipping you with the technical knowledge and skills required for the Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualification Foundation Programme (or an equivalent qualification determined by the firm)

  • Study allowance provided — Focus on your learning without the financial burden; we've got you covered throughout your preparation for the Singapore CA Qualification

  • Dedicated mentorship and coaching — Learn directly from experienced PwC audit professionals and Chartered Accountants who are invested in your growth and success in the Singapore CA Qualification journey

  • A launchpad, not just a job — This programme is designed to set you up for long-term success, giving you a competitive edge as you build your career in audit and assurance

By the end of this programme, you'll have gained not only meaningful progress towards a recognised professional qualification — the Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualification — but also the confidence, network, and real-world experience to accelerate your career with one of the world's leading professional services networks.
