General Fabricator

JOB SUMMARY:

As a part of a diverse team of fabricators who will support aerospace and spaceflight production by performing hands-on fabrication and structural edge treatment. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to high-quality, reliable workmanship.

This position will play a crucial role in the production process and contribute to the company’s overall performance in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Attitude (QCDSA).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform mechanical fabrication using hand tools and inspection equipment.
  • Operate within one or more of the following disciplines:
    – Deburr – Shear – Polish – Clean – Grinds – Saws – Drills
  • Cross train in all fabrication areas.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, process sheets, and blueprints.
  • Handle delicate aerospace components with precision and care.
  • Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation (e.g., routers, inspection logs).
  • Perform deburr/break sharp edge to work parts to industrial standard.
  • File, use wire brush, buffing cloth, or pneumatic grinder to deburr or change dimension of part based on customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify issues and support manufacturability.
