What You’ll Be Doing

You will:

  • Respond to written and verbal planning enquiries
  • Provide applicant liaison and pre‑lodgement advice
  • Conduct inspections and technical assessments
  • Undertake research and planning investigations
  • Maintain accurate statutory planning records
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and submissions
  • Assess statutory planning proposals and appeals
  • Investigate potential breaches of planning laws

We’re looking for a motivated planning professional passionate about quality development and great community outcomes. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in town planning or related field
  • Knowledge of statutory planning principles and practice
  • Ability to make sound, accountable planning decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of planning legislation and processes
  • Experience in local government statutory planning
  • Ability to negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Current driver’s licence and National Police Clearance
