General Laborer
ReconCraft is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to join our manufacturing shop team Clackamas, Oregon. This position supports daily shop operations by assisting with material handling, shop cleanup, basic production tasks, equipment support, and general labor duties as needed. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-minded, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Assist with general shop tasks, production support, and material movement.
- Maintain shop cleanliness by daily sweeping/cleaning general shop areas
- Cleaning exterior and interior of boats for general maintenance and final delivery.
- Load, unload, organize, and stage materials, parts, and finished products.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Operate basic hand tools and shop equipment as trained.
- Assist machine operators, fabricators, welders, or other production staff as needed.
- Perform basic inspection of materials and finished parts for obvious defects.
- Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and shop policies.
- Report equipment issues, damaged materials, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support shop production.
Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education and Certifications:
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Required Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, fabrication, warehouse, or shop environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to follow directions and work well with others
- Strong work ethic and good attendance
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on different tasks
- Basic understanding of hand tools and shop safety is a plus
- Ability to read a tape measure is preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required
- Working Conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Comfortable working around machinery, tools, dust, noise, and shop equipment
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots when required

- Day shift schedule
- Overtime may be available or required depending on production needs
