General Manager

What you'll do...

  • Fully own the commercials of your property and overall performance, from P&L, through to budgets, through to planning and forecasting.
  • Play a key role in hiring decisions for the property.
  • Establish priorities and lead key operational initiatives such as the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
  • Execute the highest of Brand standards, financial performance, and quality of service.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support to your Heads of Departments in the day-to-day People management of each team.
  • Oversee all hotel operations.
  • Oversee all quality evaluation processes and strive to improve all qualitative metrics.
  • Be ultimately accountable for delivering projects in your property.
  • Serve as the hub for communications with guests, team, ownership, brand representatives and key vendors.
  • Find and keep the best talent for your property.
  • Be front-facing and high-touch with our guests, involved in handling guests throughout their journey and setting the example for the team to engage in excellent guest experience and recovery at every turn.
  • Be a part of the evolution of Ennismore as it expands further in the US and Americas region.

What we're looking for...

  • You are an experienced General Manager, a commercially savvy operator and have prior experience in a similar role. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Hotel General Manager and significant experience in high-end Lifestyle hotels
  • You have experience leading successful openings, transitions and resort properties, and luxury & lifestyle properties where the experience is branded from beginning to end.
  • You are comfortable in the spotlight but always remain humble and kind.
  • You have a passion for hospitality, you inspire an enthusiastic guest-centered approach.
  • You can turn any situation around into a positive experience for all, guests and team alike.
  • You think big and encourage your team to believe.
  • You are comfortable with the strategic as well as day to day detail.
  • You are a natural at leading and managing others, and you lead by example, creating an environment where your team can be their best self.
  • You have an aptitude to perform numerical analysis of data and formulate conclusions and solutions.
  • You are able to easily identify and utilize emerging trends and technology to generate revenue.
  • You exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations.
  • You are highly responsible, reliable and ethical. A reputation for honesty and integrity.
  • You get things done, independently and skilled at taking decisive action.
  • You’re a strong team leader, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
